Kalye Decks | Inspired By Philippines Street Culture

Kalye fingerboards are hand-crafted in Oceanside, California, by Jude Lugtu and Christian Gonzales. The brand was established in 2016 and is inspired by the Philippines street culture because of how it influenced Jude and Christian growing up. The word "Kalye" means street in the Philippines.

Christian and Jude always wanted to represent their country with this brand. Most of the art you see on the fingerboards is influenced by their childhood.

There are two molds that Kalye uses in their production:

  • Urban Mold (Medium kicks, Deeper concave, Aggressive)
  • Rural Mold (Low kicks, Mellow concave, Realistic)

The Rural mold was the first mold introduced by Kalye. It was named "Rural" because rural areas in the Philippines are relaxed and more mellow.

The Urban mold is named "Urban" because urban areas in the Philippines are busier. This mold was redesigned a while ago to have a more aggressive approach with a deeper concave and sharper dips.

Each fingerboard is made using real, authentic heat transfer graphics to provide realistic wear to the deck and bring fingerboards one step closer to skateboards. Every deck is made with the best materials in order to produce a high-quality fingerboard. The shape of the fingerboard deck is more boxy, and the squared-off nose helps with nollie tricks.

We are constantly updating the Kalye graphics on our website whenever there is a new stock drop. The latest designs feature collaborations with Cowply and Jakepfb.
